The Federal Housing Finance Agency has released for public comment its draft Strategic Plan: Fiscal Years 2013-2017. The FHFA is updating its Current Strategic Plan in order to incorporate the strategic plan for the conservatorships of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) sent to Congress in February 2012. In accordance with the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010, the agency is soliciting the views of those potentially affected by, or interested in, the plan. The draft strategic plan sets four strategic goals for FHFA:
2. Stability, liquidity and access in housing finance.
3. Preserve and conserve Enterprise assets.
4. Prepare for the future of housing finance in the U.S.
All comments on the draft plan must be received by June 13, 2012.
