The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is requesting comments on a proposed renewal of an existing information collection entitled "Market Risk" and is also giving notice that it has sent the collection to the Office of Management and Budget for review. According to the OCC, the agency's market risk capital rules enhance risk sensitivity and include requirements for the public disclosure of certain qualitative and quantitative information about the market risk of national banks and federal savings associations. The agency maintains that this information collection is necessary to ensure capital adequacy appropriate for the level of market risk. Comments are due by Dec. 16, 2015.
