The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has issued an updated version of its "Supervision and Examination Manual," which is the Bureau's guide for examiners to use in overseeing companies that provide consumer financial products or services. The manual describes how the Bureau supervises and examines these companies and gives examiners direction on how to assess compliance with federal consumer financial laws. The CFPB revised the "Workpapers" section of the "Examination process" portion of the manual. The Bureau also revised the "Examination scope summary" portion of the manual.
